The Gift Post
While lounging around the house after the initiation, her mind bugs her about her blademates and the fact that half of the War Hounds are leaving the Estate (and Netsach, it seems.)
She wants to do something nice for them. They've enjoyed each other's company throughout the missions they've been on and the drinks they've downed. It's only proper, right? A party won't do - that's probably not their style anyway. Brianna wants to do something that both she and her leaving blademates will enjoy. Naturally, she thinks of shopping for gifts for them.
She tells her mom that she's going out for a bit to shop for gifts and asks her driver to bring her to Greenbelt.
In the car, she's making a list of good ideas for Yulia, Taning and Kaz just so she has a general idea where she should be headed. Her mom did tell her to make use of this technique to avoid compulsive buying and overspending. Not that she always follows this certain advice. Also, these gifts are important and she naturally wants them to be perfect.
She takes out her tablet and starts typing.
Her list goes as such:
As the car pulls up to the driveway to Greenbelt, she begins her hunt.
First, she does a round at clothing shops to see if she can get some of the things on her list.
She crosses off clothes for Kaz because he's an equally good shopper as she is, and it won't mean much, friendship-wise.
She also forgets about clothes for Yulia (because she probably wants something cooler) and underwear for Taning (because Brianna, really....).
Right.
After going around the huge mall complex, visiting several other stores, she stops at a big weapon hobby store. Maybe she'll score gold here.
She asks the salesperson for some advice: what should she get as a parting gift for a.) a rich person who uses tonfas, b.) a moody chick who is really good at combat with knives and c.) a technically-not-old-but-might-as-well-be person who uses a katana, and is into mage stuff.
The salesperson grabs a colleague to help her pull out a bunch of stuff from their display and lay it in front of Brianna. They explain each item; their purpose, the differences between brand A and brand B, things she can arrange to be modified, etc.
It takes Brianna some time to decide, but she's managed to pick out a few things that to her, seems perfect and fitting as gifts.
However, she still hasn't found the perfect one for Kaz yet, so she doubles back to the clothing stores, just in case she missed out on some possibly cool stuff. She ends up pleased at finding something perfect for Kaz, plus she also found another thing she thinks Yulia might really like.
She ends up getting the following things:
For Yulia, a mount for one knife, with the name "Bostova" engraved on the base, and some really spunky fingerless leather gloves with spikes on them, just so she can scare people even more.
For Kaz, a pair of dark green gloves with leather padding on the outside for his palm, with "Zobel de Ayala" stitched on each pad, and another pair, but this time trendier, funkier, and it fits his colorful personality. Plus that really old hottie Julian Casablancas wore a pair like 'em.
For Taning, a back holster for his katana (except it's for an individual katana only, not dual) with "Marasigan" engraved on the back pad and a really neat brown leather hand wrap, for style.
They're all wrapped fancily, just because.
She shops for herself, also just because.
Giddy and riddled with excitement, she texts Kaz, Yulia and Taning to meet her when they can as soon as she's done calling her driver to pick her up. She can't wait to head home.

GROUP TEXT TO KAZ, YULIA AND TANING
SENT: 06:31 PM
Hi guys! Got something for you. When are you free to meet up?

[He smiles, mostly because f**k yeah they made it... Well, not him, not just yet. But he's quietly proud of his Blademates, the kind of pride that wells inside him and inches the nervousness away.</small]

[ Of course, she can't lug around everything... Can she?
She looks at all the gifts she bought again. Ehehe, nope. Plus she wants to surprise everyone. Kaz's text just makes her even giddier. ]

[Kaz slips into a pair of jeans and jumps into his sneakers. Falner's west district was close enough, but seeing as he hadn't had much time to hang out with Brianna, he hops a hovertram to the Lopez Estate.
He'd only ever seen the exterior, but now that he looked at it, Brianna's home rivaled his own home in terms of sheer size.]

Hiiiii!! [ She immediately hugs him and motions for him to come inside. ]
So, the others aren't here yet and I kinda wanna wait for them to get here...
[ She looks at Kaz with puppy eyes, hoping that it'd be okay for him to wait. ]

[Okay that surprised him, the hug winds him. His smile is pretty honest, and, well... It's Brianna.]
Yulia and Kuya? Hh.
[Okay, Brianna's puppy face rivaled Leo's. Yow.]
Yeah, sure, m'okay to wait. Besides, I like surprises.
