[ For all of you in Inquisitor Aria Skye's class, here is an interesting thing to see this morning.
Have a fox clambering up the furthest window of the classroom, a tablet in it's mouth that it checks with two tiny paws as soon as the animal's finally inside.
It looks a little like an excerpt from a Disney film. Except not.
Now he's ducking under chairs, gaze mildly apologetic to any of the kids who take note of him. If he pauses and holds their gaze, it's only for a couple of seconds before he finally settles at the back, on the floor as opposed to the empty seat behind him, tablet set down as he starts pawing at the screen.
Swiftkey is such a godsend. He loves that app so much. It's so convenient whenever he's in this form. ]
[ Brianna isn't noticing that yet. She's a bit focused on Michael, who's being a sweet angel. He'd ask her about what Aria just said, for clarifications, for Brianna to ask questions for him (as he's still a bit shy).
She'd glide over his notes for him, making sure he got down the right words. And at his request, she'd hold his hand throughout the lecture. ]
[ After he's done seeing to some of the emails on queue and answering queries from one of the new kids in Leviathan, he's looking up to listen in on Aria's lecture.
She's been better, recently. Which is good. He hasn't had a moment to check in as to why, but even after the failed attempt to recover Jessie Vice in Europe, something's changed. As far as he's concerned though, as long as Mama Aria is okay, he can roll with it.
[ She finally spots him, because one of the kids reacted to his entrance in a hushed manner. She cranes her neck to his direction and tries to catch his eye and wave at him. ]
[ And if there was a way that a fox could look like it'd just been petted from across the room -- the look on Renae's animal face kind of looks like that.
This is totally normal. Brianna's his uncle's newest daughter, someone his mother and sister both like and clearly a fun individual that he gets along with ( read: Renae is careful with the use of the word 'friend'. )
His tail swishes as he straightens in greeting.
You're also getting his voice in your head, Bri. You've seen him do this before. At your party, a while back.
( Good morning. Sitting in? ) There's a momentary narrowing of his eyes as if he's realizing something and then: ( You're pretty far, and I don't want to interrupt the class, so uh... one tap on your chin for yes and two for no? )
Yes. He is a dork. Coded messages are cool and efficient, okay? ]
[ And he's staying the whole way through, mostly still doing that swiping motion over the screen of his laptop, the occasional twitch of the ear happening because he's enjoying listening to Aria conduct her class.
He's also watching that boy and the way Brianna's moving around him because he's picking up things, but doesn't want to make any assumptions. ]
[ What Renae will see is that Brianna is incredibly gentle with Michael. she only grips his hand as strong as he's gripping hers. She doesn't make any sudden movements, she talks to him in a hushed voice (partially also because she doesn't want to disrupt the class).
Still though, she's sweet with him and she's trying her best to be warm to him. No indication on her face whatsoever of impatience or annoyance. She's never had to be this patient with a single human being ever, so this is quite a challenge for her. Don't get her wrong though, she loves what she's doing. ]
[ This one's filing that all away for reference, noting the subtle deliberateness of each action and letting his mind take the situation apart the way he would something in need of reverse-enguneering--
--Huh.
He's quiet for the rest of the class then, focused largely on that tablet screen. He doesn't need to look up to know what continues to go on, but he'll be less obvious about playing observer.
He can wait. Patience is a virtue he learned to cultivate after all. Maybe he can speak with Brianna after class. ]
[ As class ends, Michael thanked Brianna and made her promise to come around again for the next class. After, ran straight for his room. Brianna's just waving at him goodbye, waiting until he disappears before starting to get her bag. ]
[ He waits until the boy is out of sight before he shifts back into human form, limbs unfolding from that chair as he leans back to offer smiles to some of the kids in class who have just seen the fox turn back into a man.
Renae's also walking over now, tablet tucked under one arm. ] Cute kid.
His gaze wanders briefly to the door the boy left through. When he's turned his attention back your way though, he offers an answering smile: ] Nice to see you around.
[ He makes a point of looking around the classroom. ] Been a while since I sat in Aunt Aria's class. [ And then he's sending you a curious look. ] I'm surprised to see you here though. Figured given the Hounds' current reputation, Balamb would cut you loose.

She tilts her head to the direction of Michael (who is distracted, listening to Aria), while maintaining eye contact with Renae. ]

When Bri points to the boy seated beside her though, he blinks.
( What about your seatma-- okay, rephrase: you're with the boy sitting beside you? ) ]

Have a sniff from this fox then before he's talking again inside your head.
( Go on, focus on class. I'm here mostly to check in on Aria and see how she's doing. )
There's a beat before he adds: ( We can catch up later, if you like. ) ]

And of course, in typical Brianna fashion, she winks at him to signal agreement. ]
