A Late Birthday Party / MAY 26, 2063 Night

[ After a short "vacation" at Tokyo, Brianna sends a text to her friends. It's a general invitation that stretches from her blade mates to her mentors, to well, the whole of Netsach (as long as she knows them. Also extends to some Zangyaku friends). Of course, she asks her parents for permission first. ]

Hello friend! It would make me very happy if you could make it to Haven this Saturday to celebrate my 520th birthday. Drinks on me. :)

[Oh he does love the clothes that Brianna picked out for him. The sneakers are particularly wonderful, with their neon lines glowing in the blacklights of Haven. At her suggestion, the leather jacket's just slung across his shoulders, an accent to the white shirt and the gloves (that oddly have the same pattern), and the two necklaces that artfully complete the outfit.

He's leaning against the bar, smiling at the turnout. Tonight, he's actually channeling his older sister's party aura, so prepare for Kaz at his most charming.]

[ Running up to Kaz now, because he looks extra nice in the clothes they shopped for together. ]

Heya! Don't you look wonderful?

Of course! I had a fan-tas-tic stylist.

[He winks conspiratorially at her. 'Cause really, Brianna picked out seriously amazing things for him.]

So. How do we get this party rockin'?

[ She grins at him. ]

Oh, you don't have to do anything. You know what would make me really happy though?

[ She's smirking now. It's her party, and no one's going home sober. ]

[He raises an eyebrow at that, because he has no idea.]

[ Leaning in for a whisper. ]

If everybody had to crawl back home.

[ She backs up a bit and laughs out loud. ]

Of course I do also want to get drunk.

[Uh, oh.

Kaz's recent experiences with alcohol had him passed out, and somehow carried to his room. Um. Eep. He will, however, help make sure that some people are crawling home and that Brianna is as properly drunk as a birthday girl can be.]

Hey wait, can you even actually get drunk?

[ She laughs at that. ]

Yes, I can. I don't have that special ability that makes me resist things like that. I just totally avoid getting drunk because it's a lot more interesting to watch people when they get drunk.

[ She grins. ]

Tonight is an exception though.

[He chuckles. But he's also going to stop himself from drinking too much tonight, just so.]

[ There's a mischievous glint in her eyes. Uh-oh, Kaz. ]

Hmm what do you want? Cause you're gonna have to promise to take shots with me.

[ Giggling while batting her eyelashes now. ]

[EEP. Okay, so he expected people at Haven tonight, even with the party going on. After all, it's Haven. He's come back from sitting with Renae - Kuya Ren - and boy was that interesting. So he comes back down, hoping to grab a cola to stave off the alcohol when a woman comes up to him... And she calls him hot stuff.]

[Shocked Kaz is shocked, and blushing. How to deal, really. Kaz has never really been the one who got approached, but then he also happened to be alone at this very minute.Eep, where is your big brother when you need him?]

[Kaz, unfortunately, is kind of shaken. But he is a Zobel de Ayala, and being social is a thing that comes with being one, so he does steel himself a little and smiles]

Hi. Uh, thanks. The necklace was... a gift from someone special.

[If he makes it sound a little more like the necklace was a gift from Nico and not Cisco, it's only 'cause he's not sure what to do in these kinds of situations, so he goes with the vague sort of statement. He does, however, lean against the bar as well in an attempt to be more casual.]

[ Grinning at that. A shift on her features as she drops the Interested In You Act, and defaulting to her usual: chill, relaxed, like a bro. ]

Good that you think that. Take care of it, okay? Mom really loves that old thing.

[ So cavalier. As if it didn't mean just as much to her. ]

[Have a very confused/shocked Kaz, Maggie. But wait, lucky charm? Mom? Wait. It couldn't be... Look at the poor boy desperately struggling to put two and two together because he's so flustered.]

You're Maggie. Ate Maggie?!

[ And here she is, preening at you.

You're cute, kid. But she's a fox, not a cougar. ]

[Kaz shifts a little, now a little more comfortable seeing as Maggie's not actually there to flirt with his very, very taken self.]

Good. [ So ridiculously smug, this one. ] Because if you didn't, I'd make you like it.

[ She's... only half-joking. ]

So. Nice party. And yeah, Brianna is great. Your blade is kind of cool and Mom adores you, so there.

[ A genuine smile now. An affectionate one, to boot. ]

Also: you know a Mia Castro? Changing Breed, Philippine eagle? Has a really pretty girlfriend named uh... Andrews? Jillian. I think.

[Kaz just takes it, 'cause he likes Maggie. And he loves the necklace, he wouldn't be wearing it if it didn't mean a lot to him now.]

Brianna's not the type to half-ass these things. [Is he proud, yeah he is.]

Mia? Yeah, Jill's kind of my best friend, and she is too... Mia, I mean.

[There's a sheepish grin there, because he hadn't been texting them lately, wanted to be unobtrusive. After all, Mia being a Rider meant she had her hands full a lot, and Jill being at the Colors meant pretty intensive training.]

What about her?

[ Shrugging and smiling. ]

Just curious. I like her. She's crazy. In the best way possible.

[ They haven't touched base that often, but Maggie likes keeping tabs on her people through whatever means she can get her hands on. As it stands, the Monkey Eaters are good in her book: capable, efficient, fun. ]

Maybe since I'll be back more often, I'll be able to catch you guys when you hang out.

[ She's throwing that out there, just because she can. As it is, now that she's actually her and in the company of the people she cares about, she's been doing some reevaluating. ]

[He smirks at that. Yeah, he loves Mia's craziness.]
