A Late Birthday Party / MAY 26, 2063 Night

[ After a short "vacation" at Tokyo, Brianna sends a text to her friends. It's a general invitation that stretches from her blade mates to her mentors, to well, the whole of Netsach (as long as she knows them. Also extends to some Zangyaku friends). Of course, she asks her parents for permission first. ]
SENT: 03:00 PM
Hello friend! It would make me very happy if you could make it to Haven this Saturday to celebrate my 520th birthday. Drinks on me. :)
- OOC note: Feel free to tag in whenever you like, whatever you like.
- May 21, 2063: Date of text
- May 26, 2063: Date of party

And she sniffed that bottle-cap, Junior. Don't think she didn't. ]
Pretty necklace, hot stuff.
[ Oh, she knows she's not your type. Don't worry, kiddo. ]

H-Hi. Um. Hi.
[Shocked Kaz is shocked, and blushing. How to deal, really. Kaz has never really been the one who got approached, but then he also happened to be alone at this very minute.Eep, where is your big brother when you need him?]
abloobloo
( And as her squadmate Nick likes to say when he does his awful German impression-- )
Wunderbar. ]
Hi.
[ Leaning against the bar and tossing him a winning smile. ]

Hi. Uh, thanks. The necklace was... a gift from someone special.
[If he makes it sound a little more like the necklace was a gift from Nico and not Cisco, it's only 'cause he's not sure what to do in these kinds of situations, so he goes with the vague sort of statement. He does, however, lean against the bar as well in an attempt to be more casual.]

Good that you think that. Take care of it, okay? Mom really loves that old thing.
[ So cavalier. As if it didn't mean just as much to her. ]
no subject
[Have a very confused/shocked Kaz, Maggie. But wait, lucky charm? Mom? Wait. It couldn't be... Look at the poor boy desperately struggling to put two and two together because he's so flustered.]
You're Maggie. Ate Maggie?!
no subject
You're cute, kid. But she's a fox, not a cougar. ]
The one and only, Maggienificent.
[ Ate Maggie, huh?
As your Uncle Paolo would say: God be with you, Kaz. You've not met the Impossible Twin, prepare to regret it. ]
no subject
Maggienificent, I like that.
[Have a smile that clearly says Yeah that's really cool.]

Reaching over and ruffling your hair now. ]
Good. [ So ridiculously smug, this one. ] Because if you didn't, I'd make you like it.
[ She's... only half-joking. ]
So. Nice party. And yeah, Brianna is great. Your blade is kind of cool and Mom adores you, so there.
[ A genuine smile now. An affectionate one, to boot. ]
Also: you know a Mia Castro? Changing Breed, Philippine eagle? Has a really pretty girlfriend named uh... Andrews? Jillian. I think.
no subject
Brianna's not the type to half-ass these things. [Is he proud, yeah he is.]
Mia? Yeah, Jill's kind of my best friend, and she is too... Mia, I mean.
[There's a sheepish grin there, because he hadn't been texting them lately, wanted to be unobtrusive. After all, Mia being a Rider meant she had her hands full a lot, and Jill being at the Colors meant pretty intensive training.]
What about her?
no subject
Just curious. I like her. She's crazy. In the best way possible.
[ They haven't touched base that often, but Maggie likes keeping tabs on her people through whatever means she can get her hands on. As it stands, the Monkey Eaters are good in her book: capable, efficient, fun. ]
Maybe since I'll be back more often, I'll be able to catch you guys when you hang out.
[ She's throwing that out there, just because she can. As it is, now that she's actually her and in the company of the people she cares about, she's been doing some reevaluating. ]
no subject
Oh?
[Interesting. Tita Cisco will be pleased. And his smirk only gets wider.]
I'd really, really like that.
no subject
Mom's very vocal about me coming home.
[ She's leaning sideways against you now so that your shoulder's bump. ]
I just want to make sure she and Dad can enjoy retirement, you know?
[ Growing up during the thick of the Darkest Vigil had been hard. ]
no subject
[He leans into that as well.]
Well, you being home means more time to hang out. I'd like that a lot.
huehue and like we discussed
We'll see. [ No promises, junior. ] Dad said every two months and things have been interesting anyway, so it's all good.
[ And because she learned to be a troll from one of the best, suddenly you see her lifting up a phone that distinctly looks like yours to type something in.
Hold up.
That IS your phone. ]
8D
H-hey! Is that --
|D IKR
[ Done now, btw. Here's your phone, junior.
|D ]

[ The smile on his face clearly says he isn't scared though. ]
no subject
Of me? [ That is the sound of mock offense. ] Naturally.
[ That is a very toothy smile. ]
no subject
[ He's gonna sip his drink casually, smiling all the while ]
no subject
Lifting a hand in the direction of the barkeep now. She needs a glass of her usual. ]
no subject
You wanna dance?
no subject
'nother time, kiddo. [ He gaze does slide towards her mother though, as Cisco slides away from a group that she was seeing to. ] You know who you could ask though?
[ Those are two fingers nudging your thumb thataway. ]
no subject
Okay! But you an' me are gonna dance sometime!
[ What you see next is him speed off and go to your mother's side, whispering in her ear. ]
no subject
Or bother her brother. Whichever comes first. ]
