A Late Birthday Party / MAY 26, 2063 Night

[ After a short "vacation" at Tokyo, Brianna sends a text to her friends. It's a general invitation that stretches from her blade mates to her mentors, to well, the whole of Netsach (as long as she knows them. Also extends to some Zangyaku friends). Of course, she asks her parents for permission first. ]

Hello friend! It would make me very happy if you could make it to Haven this Saturday to celebrate my 520th birthday. Drinks on me. :)

But they're interesting kids. And they're the ones with the bigger chance of getting through to your father when the rest of us can't.

[ The rest aren't his daughters. They take what the can, when they can. It's simple fact, and if anything, she's glad that at least someone -- two someones -- from the three blades have that kind of pull. ]

I'm not as involved in Zangyaku as I should be, [ have an apologetic look your way, Brigade. ] But you're in good with An'yu. And there are always calls for patrols, even if they're not as eventful as they could be in other spaces.

[ She smiles then. ] Go ask. I don't have the same intel on you as Eli does, but I've seen you move. Maybe the kids in Kibo could learn a thing or two from an old vet like yourself.

Oh, she knows it likely won't work. She's an amateur in the presence of a master, okay. But a girl's got to try. ]

But I like having an excuse to be nosy about people's tells.

[ A person's choice of cigarettes tells her a lot about personal taste and preference. A Zippo or something equally similar, make and style and how banged up it looks tells her how long they've been smoking, how careless or careful they are with their habit, and how much time they invest in it. Just as a lighter that is bought from the convenience store ( and how many they own ) clues her in immediately on other things.

Reaching over and ruffling your hair now. ]

[ Cracking open an eye up at you just then, and sitting up ( she is not wobbly ) before she scratches at one each and slides a look your way.
