A Late Birthday Party / MAY 26, 2063 Night

[ After a short "vacation" at Tokyo, Brianna sends a text to her friends. It's a general invitation that stretches from her blade mates to her mentors, to well, the whole of Netsach (as long as she knows them. Also extends to some Zangyaku friends). Of course, she asks her parents for permission first. ]

Hello friend! It would make me very happy if you could make it to Haven this Saturday to celebrate my 520th birthday. Drinks on me. :)
- OOC note: Feel free to tag in whenever you like, whatever you like.
- May 21, 2063: Date of text
- May 26, 2063: Date of party

Still not my favorite. [ Taking a swig, relishing it and then giving Hikaru a quick peck on the cheek. ] But close. Very close.

[He's your uncle, ayup.]

You sound like Mom. [ Said with the utmost fondness. ] So. New daughter, huh?

[Watching Brianna with approval now.]

Well, you always had good taste.
[ Taking another sip because Parental Figure Alpha Wolf is not looking right now.
Speaking of wolves. ]
Why the interest in District Four?

Don't I always call in favors and ask strange questions?
[:D]

But she's a favorite of mine so I hope she's not in trouble?
[ Werewolves. Go figure. The n00bs might not like her from the get-go on principle because Changing Breed, but everyone learns to love her eventually. ]

[The kind that comes free of charge, out of the goodness of his own heart.]

Don't dangle the chicken in front of the fox, Uncle. It's not very nice.
Sidling up, smiling as sweetly as she can manage without giving how interested she is in this information away--
--it's... not working. Subtlety, thy name is NOT Margaret Montelibano-Profaci. ]
no subject
What? After you criticize the selection I offered you, you think I'm just going to give you what you want?
no subject
Oh, she knows it likely won't work. She's an amateur in the presence of a master, okay. But a girl's got to try. ]
I wasn't criticizing. [ Yep, pout engaged. She took your lessons to heart, Uncle. ] How else was I going to get you to slide me more booze while Dad's on I Am Watching You, Margaret-mode.
[ This is how she shows how much she's missed you, okay. A bonafide tsundere, this one. ]
no subject
Wow, that was ALMOST convincing! Pretty sure that never works on Cen, though.

Huffing a little now, because argh, goddamned Blade King. ]
It never does. [ Pouting, pouty, pout pout. ] He's my father, and immune to my wiles. It's okay, because that's Mom's thing and honestly, I was just really happy to walk in here and see him.
[ Sliding a look over now. Legit sincere. ] You, too. [ She's yet to see Alistair, but... she scented that one already. She shall just be a good little hunter and be patient. Let the big fish come her way. ]
no subject
It's nice to see you too. You're making lots of people happy by being around again.
[Which makes him more happy, of course.]
no subject
And how about you? How're you doing?
[ Earnest, this one.
She is not going to touch the Aunt Aria topic with a ten-thousand foot long pole. Not when you seem to be in a pretty good mood. ]
no subject
[DEFLECT, DEFLECT, DEFLECT.]
no subject
But Uncle Hikaru, deadly charm and crazy sociopathic is what makes you you.
[ Yes, she is drinking again. ]
Your friend is cute.
[ You know. The one you've been looking after all night.
She is her mother's daughter. She is also her father's not-really-angel for precisely the same reason. ]
no subject
[Nope, not denying it. It's the truth, at any rate.
And no, he's not shocked at all at how you noticed. He might have even made fun of you if you didn't.]

[ air quotes time ]
--"younger" friends?

Uncle Hikaruuuu~ [ she's going to loop her arm around yours now. ] Seriously, what's his story? You always find the cute ones. And usually they're interesting.

[Still not budging.]
