A Late Birthday Party / MAY 26, 2063 Night

[ After a short "vacation" at Tokyo, Brianna sends a text to her friends. It's a general invitation that stretches from her blade mates to her mentors, to well, the whole of Netsach (as long as she knows them. Also extends to some Zangyaku friends). Of course, she asks her parents for permission first. ]

Hello friend! It would make me very happy if you could make it to Haven this Saturday to celebrate my 520th birthday. Drinks on me. :)

And your say on the matter? [ Still just smoking, but he gives a sideways glance at Alistair. He asked it with a tone of respect for privacy. ]

...Okay, not really.]

Tala was both our daughters because she came around at a particular time. [When they were actually together. When it really looked like it was them for good.] Brianna's case is different.

[Does he need to specifically spell out why? Hopefully not.]

Well, here's hoping you still give her a chance. You know, like learning to tolerate Haven. And maybe finding out that she's really a lot like King's Rest. [ Brig looks away and back to the street. She's a good kid. And you're a nice guy. Might be good for each other. He thinks to himself. ]

[Alistair says nothing to that: his response is in a slight shrug of his shoulders and a noncommittal sound.

He doesn't have anything against Brianna, but he doesn't particularly care for her at the moment either. We'll see.]

[ It's enough for Brig. Brianna's one of the good things that walked into his life. He hopes she can be the same for Alistair too. ]

I'm going inside, sir. Just tap me if you want company in some of the "quieter" spots. [ He kills his cigarette butt and gives Alistair a friendly pat on the shoulder as he turns around and heads back for the entrance ]

[Nodding once in Brig's direction, then going back to the scenery.

Which is very boring, by the way, but it's better than being inside.]
