A Late Birthday Party / MAY 26, 2063 Night

[ After a short "vacation" at Tokyo, Brianna sends a text to her friends. It's a general invitation that stretches from her blade mates to her mentors, to well, the whole of Netsach (as long as she knows them. Also extends to some Zangyaku friends). Of course, she asks her parents for permission first. ]

Hello friend! It would make me very happy if you could make it to Haven this Saturday to celebrate my 520th birthday. Drinks on me. :)
- OOC note: Feel free to tag in whenever you like, whatever you like.
- May 21, 2063: Date of text
- May 26, 2063: Date of party

Rest. You've had a lot. [ He smiles. Hoping she'll like the little makeshift bed. ]

Yes, that is a pair of beady eyes peering up at you before she finally registers where you put her.
Yes. Yes, that is a contented purr as she flops down.
Winking one eye open now and narrowing it a little suspiciously before the look in them softens as she decides you're not a threat and mean well.
( Thank you. )
A beat.
( Are you friends with my Uncle? ) ]

Yeah, I am. [ A softening of his features ] I hold him in very high regard.

Yes, she actually sniffs at that.
( How'd you meet him? )
Because curious. Her Uncle Hikaru gets around, so new faces are assumed to be a thing -- but you're here, at the party of Aunt Tala's new protege and her mom seems to like you. ]

We first met back in World War II. Fifty years later, he had passed onto me letters an old friend had written but which never reached me. Then we met again a few months back [ A soft smile ] when he found and brought back to me a man I thought I'd lost so long ago.

Her eyes are back your way though, when she speaks back into your head.
( Life works out funny like that. It's nice to know that Uncle and you reconnected. )
She is naturally filing all this away at the back of her curious mind. She's clearly missed a lot in recent months, so maybe staying home for a while and catching up will be a good idea after all.
Have a yawn then, Brig.
( I should go sober up. Dad will be wondering where I went. Thanks for the nest, Mr. Promethean. ) ]
