Well, yeah. I don't want to be biased just cos Daddy's the boss. I really want to end up where it's a good fit for me, and where I can do more things. Of course I'd want to end up in a Court that will enable my good parts.

[ Sudden brilliant thought, in Brianna standards. ]

Have any Changelings gone for both? Is it unheard of or is it... normal?

[Nodding, as if she understands. Hikaru did mention something about Brianna being his new daughter...]

It's rather normal for Changeling Hunters. It isn't normal for civilian Lost or unaligned fairies. I suppose they enjoy comparing notes on who had the worst durance.

[A little snide there, because Lia honestly thinks that it's pointless to do that.]

[ Narrowing her eyes at that. ]

Who would even like reliving something like that? I had to take like a hundred baths immediately afterwards.

[ Small shudder. A hundred baths is exaggerating but... for funnies. ]

It's less about reliving, I believe, and more about finding ways of coping with it. When you feel as though everything that you have and everything that you are has been taken from you, don't you feel the need to make something for yourself even if all you have is loss and pain?

[ Wew, she didn't expect Lia to have a concrete grasp on that, but by now, she's accepted the fact that Lia is Lia, and she will know a lot more than Brianna expects her to. Besides, it doesn't just apply to Changelings. She's learned that by now. ]

That makes sense. That's actually quite... spot on. Guess we just have different ways of dealing with it.

I imagine that it such experiences are incredibly isolating. It helps to have friends, and - barring that - people to bitch at. Misery loves company, after all.

[ She laughs modestly at that. ]

That is also true.

[ At this point, she's taking the time to look around the fancy restaurant. It looks exactly like it did when Lia first brought her there in the Dreamscape, but it's lovelier to be there, to see it in its actuality. ]

[This place means a lot to her.

...Okay, trying not to reminisce now. Probably failing at keeping it from showing on her face.]

[ Innocently asking, because she has no clue. ]

Ooh? Like who? With a place this amazing, I'd also only bring a select few here.

[ But she's smiling, pleased, happy and grateful that Lia considers Brianna as someone that matters to her. ]

I've brought 108 here, along with Aria and Tala. The Malice Kings have also come here with me too.

[A beat.]

Hikaru was actually the one who showed me this place. He was the first one, although... well, he brought me, so.

Oh... [ She falls silent. Daddy really was everywhere...

Though she's slightly surprised that Lia holds a lot of sentimental value to this place. ]

What makes this place so special to you? I mean, it's pretty and everything but...

[It had not been their first date, not at all, but it had been the first time in a long time that they had come to a place together and talked - really talked - about them, after everything had fallen apart.

And it had been nice. It had established who they were for each other, who they would always be, until Liandrin inevitably died and left him behind for good.]

I don't know. It's my kind of classy.

[She smiles a little, turns her gaze down, focuses on her cigarette.]

[ Ooc: WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY LIANDRIN DIED? ;^;

Brianna smiles at that. ]

Well, thanks again for taking me here. This place really does suit you. It calms me down, for some reason.

[ She's watching the fish move around the huge tanks, interacting with the surroundings.

She loves seeing new places and experiencing new things for herself. The past 12 years always seemed like a lie to her, like she was there living her life, but it wasn't her as a whole. Nevertheless, she doesn't show any signs of it bothering her. ]

[ooc: She hasn't yet! It's just a real point of consideration for them since she eventually will.]

Try to keep it a secret, though. This is the kind of place that deserves to have the right people eat in it.

Of course. I get what you mean.

[ Now she shifts her attention to the other customers inside the restaurant. She's wondering who they are, where they came from, what they are. Just curious, really. Observing. ]

[A little after that, the food and the drinks came their way. Lia nodded her thanks to the waiter, and then smiled, once more, at her companion.]

Well, let's eat.

[therealbrianna]

[ She thanks the waiter as well. ]

Let's! Thanks again, ma'am Lia.

[ And then she nomnoms. The food is exquisite and she's enjoying it. It shows on her face. ]
