[And he's more grateful for this than he could ever express. Who knew that a single coffee date could lead to this? He's been exceptionally blessed lately. Equally blessed and cursed.

Anyway, we should go. We've got a long night ahead of us... unless your folks want you back early?

[Dialing back up to Concerned Father now.]

[ Giving him a look that says Really?, before breaking into a smile. ]

Don't worry, I told them I'd be out til late. I also told them that this is important to me.

[ The importance of a certain thing or matter is something Brianna doesn't really like expressing. However, it's Hikaru and she does want him to know that she will be there for him, no matter what. And that he has no choice whatsoever. ]

All right. [Then, teasingly:] Don't say that I didn't warn you.

[If for anything, he sounds better because it's true. He IS better. It's never going to be easy, and tonight probably has other surprises for them both, but if there's one thing he's learned yet again? It's that he doesn't have to be alone.]

[ Damn right you don't. >:3

And in an equally teasing fashion: ] I will hit you with my tablet again if you traumatize me.

Well, we can't have that now, can we? [A pause, then with a grin:] But I guess I don't mind, as long as you don't go for the face.

[He needs this face of his intact, okay.]

[ Sticking her tongue out at him. ]

If you don't behave, I just might. I know how much you love your face.

[And mock pouting, because while it's perfect, his eyes are full of amusement.]

Just about as much as I love you.

[Saying that, as he's offering his hand.]

[ And reaching out to him, since she's grown into the practice of hand-holding for the night. ]

No need to state facts.

[ And apparently, no need to ask where they're going next. She trusts him that way. ]

[And the next few hours has them going all over the place in an instant. It may look like there are a lot of people dying - maybe too many - to his current companion for the evening, but the hard truth of it is that the pickings this time around are "normal". He takes the old, the young, the ones in between. He takes the criminals and the just men, the ones who never really had a chance and the ones that should have had only too many.

It's close to 2 AM by the time they're both stopping right in front of the large Ferris Wheel in Sentosa Park, Singapore. The place is still open: there are people milling about, even at this hour. Supernaturals, unsurprisingly.

Turning to his companion now, and finally releasing her hand. He's smiling at her, but he looks tired. And, even if he didn't, it's obvious that tonight has been long for him due to the fact that he has several gray hairs again.]

I think we can afford to stop for the night and take a break here before I bring you back to your house.

[ She's holding back a yawn but nevertheless, she's young. She was built for staying up until the wee hours of the morning. She smiles at Hikaru. ]

Are we going up there? [ She points up at the ferris wheel. ]

If you want to. Unless you're too old for amusement park rides.

[His treat, of course. Getting up there will be easy - they won't even have to line up.]

[ Already pulling him by the arm with the BIGGEST smile on her face. ]

Let's go already!!

Okay, okay...

[Laughing, even as he's closing in. A smile at the attendants (they seem to recognize him: nobody is surprised), and then turning back to his daughter.]

Hold on to me, all right? I hope you're good with flying.

[Yeah, he can... kind of do that.]

I think I'll be fine!

[ But firmly gripping on Hikaru's hand, just in case. ]

[One last smile, and then --

-- well. They're both flying up. There are some real perks to this whole Vessel of Death thing. He had abilities from all of his previous lives at his disposal now, and could learn them as if he wasn't the Blade King.

Once you're both in front of an empty cabin, he's opening the door for you.]

[ Grinning from ear to ear while patting her hair down while stepping in. ]

[ This is nice! :3 Forget the fact that she just witnessed the obliteration of a Vampire and how she was raging hard internally, lol. ]

[And plopping down beside you, once you're settled. On cue, of course, the wheel starts turning.]

[ She's looking out as Hikaru's speaking. A second after he finished his statement, she turns her attention to him. ]

Yeah. This is really nice. You do know how to spoil me!

I've had a LOT of experience handling girls with good taste.

But I like it. I love it when I get to spend time with you when you're giving me... gifts.

We should probably do this more often.

[ She giggles at that. ]
