A Late Birthday Party / MAY 26, 2063 Night

[ After a short "vacation" at Tokyo, Brianna sends a text to her friends. It's a general invitation that stretches from her blade mates to her mentors, to well, the whole of Netsach (as long as she knows them. Also extends to some Zangyaku friends). Of course, she asks her parents for permission first. ]
SENT: 03:00 PM
Hello friend! It would make me very happy if you could make it to Haven this Saturday to celebrate my 520th birthday. Drinks on me. :)
- OOC note: Feel free to tag in whenever you like, whatever you like.
- May 21, 2063: Date of text
- May 26, 2063: Date of party
May 26th, with whoever, whenever.
By now, she's turned down five strangers who'd come by offering her drinks and asking for her number. To be fair, the skirt was short and the sheer tights didn't really do much to hide her legs. She's been told they were very nice legs. More than once. By different people.
It's probably a good thing she hasn't thrown a knife at someone yet. ]

And then ogle at her for a bit because WOW. Tala did good. ]
Yulia! So glad you can make it. And can I just say, you look incredible.
no subject
But she has to shake her head. ]
No, you look incredible. Happy birthday, again.
no subject
[ Briefly turning away from Yulia to order a drink of her own, then turning back to her. ]
Thanks! If you don't mind, I'll join you for a bit.
no subject
I do not mind at all. I would be honored to have the birthday celebrant as company.

[ She leans on the bar. ]
Why aren't you out there, though?
[ She knows that Yulia isn't the type to socialize but still, there are a couple of higher ranking Hunter around who Yulia can totally talk to about, well... battle things. ]

It is really not my.. [ how did one of those boys she rejected say it was-- ] ..scene.
[ She's only here for you, Brianna. ]

Anyway, as things stand, you have the burden of being the only other girl in your blade. You're going to have to make sure that you can be there for Brianna.
[Or Tala will kill you. :D]

[ Thanks for the vote of confidence, Tala. ]

Seriously though, Yulia. Stop texting :( He doesn't want to get there too early for reasons he isn't going to tell anyone just yet. ]

She's bored and anti-social.
Save her, Josh. You're her only hope. ]

Got your messages. [ A sheepish smile. He's recovered some.
Some.
( Still deliberately avoiding looking at the DJ booth -- or wherever the angel is at this point. ) ]
Was... doing some last minute gift shopping. [ Casting a glance towards Brianna at that. ]
\o\
And you did not think to tell me this before I wasted my time sending you all those messages?
no subject
Okay, he might be feeling a little better. ]
I guess I was more surprised that you noticed my absence enough to check up.
[ Teasing. Just a little.
And then noting the outfit with an impartial eye. ]
Did Brianna shop for you, too?
no subject
At the question, she shakes her head. ]

At the bar, you say? Have a Kaz.
Is that... No... It couldn't be...
He has to wait at the bar for a while to make sure that it IS Yulia, frowny face and all. He sidles over with a small smile on his face. While he generally doesn't want to piss her off, he can't help but say:]
You look very pretty tonight, Yulia.
no subject
turns out to be Kaz. Huh. ]
...You are the 17th person to say that tonight.
no subject
[Kaz shrugs and asks for whatever Yulia's having. When he sips at it.]
Hm. Fruity. Dare I ask whose handiwork this is?
no subject
She takes another sip of her drink, then shrugs. ]
Not mine. I only asked for vodka, and I was told this had vodka. [ She shrugs again. ]

At the risk of bodily harm, who do we have to thank for your ensemble?
[It's good-natured ribbing, and he really does think she looks pretty in what she's wearing.]
