[And she's shutting her phone, stepping out of the Arcanum --

-- and unto the street directly outside of Seigi. The oni-tsukai on guard bow in her direction, and then leave her to her own devices.

She's already dressed for the occasion. Time to smoke, have some quiet time for herself, and wait for Brianna to come around.]

[ She picks out a nice, simple dress for the dinner. She takes a quick shower, does her hair and makeup in a really simple matter. For some reason, she doesn't really feel like celebrating all-out on the day itself like she always used to.

She could use a pleasant dinner right now. With a pleasant woman, at that.

Come 7:10 PM, she goes down to the area of their meeting place. She takes her time getting there, still taking in the majestic view that that specific area of Tokyo had to offer. She whispers a quiet Thank you in no general direction. It's her birthday after all, and she's just grateful for how things played out for her, for every single person she has met along the road. She's spent the little quiet time she got today reflecting on the decisions she made not long ago and how, no matter how painful and torn she was at the beginning, she's standing there, about to meet a force to reckon with. Deep stuff.

Birthdays tend to do that.

Finally, she walks up to the gates of Seigi. ]

[Liandrin puts out the last cigarette that she had been smoking and straightens up the moment she spots Brianna. Smiling now.]

You look good.

[therealbrianna]

[ She returns the smile. ]

Oh, thank you! Kind of decided to go with something toned down for now.

[ She's wondering where Lia's taking her to. Based on their previous session, Lia has excellent taste. ]

It works.

[Turning away now, with a small gesture of her head.]

Come on. The place that I want to take you to is just a quick walk from here.

[ She eagerly follows Lia, walking up beside her. She's silent because her eyes are scanning the area for the place, and just in case she wants to go back, she'd know how to get there.

Where could this place possibly be? ]

[Lia, on the other hand, keeps a brisk but reasonable pace, making sure that they're always close to each other. Tokyo is as busy as Metro Manila, and just as beautiful.

When she stops in front of the restaurant, she turns to face Brianna with a smile.]

[The display windows from outside are revealing a very familiar interior.]

[ A big grin forms on her face. That's!!!!!!

That's the place! I mean, right? Ohmygosh yes I do! It is!

[ Excited kid cannot contain her eagerness. ]

[Cue Liandrin Delacroix being very proud of herself, and very matter-of-fact about it. Bringing them both inside now, and confirming the registration --

-- which brings them both to a more private section of the restaurant. It's a popular place, and there are always a lot of people.]

[ Okay Bri is so spoiled. SO SPOILED. ;w;

She goes over the menu and everything looks so delicious.

She settles for some Unagi. Can't go wrong with some tried and tested favorites, right? Plus, she wants to compare how it's different from the ones from the Philippines.

Also ordering some things with unique names because fyeah new foodie experiences! ]

[Listening to Brianna with amusement before making her own orders. It's clear that she's been here often enough to know the menu very well.

Then, once they have a moment alone:]

And how has your Zangyaku experience been so far?

[ She's actually thinking about what she's gonna say. Less because she's conscious, and more because she has some opinions that she just needs to sort through. ]

They're... Something else. I could see why Yulia jumped at the opportunity to join them.

It's really nice that you let her and Taning pursue the direction they chose.

It was a group decision, really. We have been monitoring the lot of you carefully, just as we monitor everyone within our ranks.

[...Okay so she's actually downplaying things a bit. The Malice Kings have been especially vigilant about watching the War Hounds lately.

But Brianna doesn't need to know that.]

As well as I can be, I suppose, with this Taskforce Valkyrie business up in the air all over again.

The Methuselah is doing what it can, but I am sure that we will have to intervene soon.

[ So they really ARE a pain in the ass, huh. ]

Some of my friends have beef with them. [ She's looking at Lia with eager eyes, though she knows her place. Lia herself told her to wait patiently 'til they're all ready and able to take on something like this. ]

Uhm, can you tell me more about TFV? I didn't really want to ask Brig myself because that might just uncover some... well, things.

Taskforce Valkyrie is the American government's licensed army of Hunters. They have been around since the Second World War, and have always operated on a simple policy: creatures of the World of Darkness are all open targets the moment they become threats to the safety of their nation.

[Time for a cigarette.]

Of course, the definition of 'threat' is always up for debate with them.

[ Ayup, that does sound like TFV, at least from the few things she knows. ]

But they take people. [ She says that silently, remembering Josh's family. ]

We know.

[Quiet, serious.]

Now it's just a matter of making the world see that. Making sure that they cannot run, and cannot hide.

[ She's liking this. She's not used to participating in anything revenge-related if it doesn't hit her directly, but she's learning to be more empathetic. Plus Josh and Brig are good to her. ]

I'd like to see that. I really would.
